New Unilever corporate website is launched

01/02/2002 : Unilever.com has been redesigned and relaunched with facilities that will make it easier for visitors to our site to find the information they need, more quickly.

In the same way that our brands meet the everyday needs of people everywhere, so we aim to provide a corporate website that meets the needs of its many and varied visitors from consumers and students to analysts, journalists and shareholders.

 

To do this, we undertook research into how information delivery on Unilever.com could be improved and, following on the results of this study, we have made several significant enhancements to improve the site's usability.

 

Improved structure

A new navigation system is in place to allow users to find their way quickly and easily around the site. This will be especially helpful for users in search of specific information.

 

Up to the minute information

Our News section has been enhanced to provide journalists in particular with a 'newsroom' in which they have access to the latest corporate press releases, financial information and information about our top management as well as recent speeches, in one centre. The sign up facility allows users to receive press releases via e-mail the minute the news breaks.

 

The Investor Centre has been substantially improved to cater to the needs of both shareholders and analysts. Information has been reorganised in line with user requirements making searching for, and access to, this data much faster.

 

The new site has a cleaner look and feel making on line reading easier and, it contains more information in all sections to cater to needs of our stakeholders.
